While we are currently over 500 strong, we still need your help. In our short history our small group has rescued 900 animals along with spaying and neutering 270 pets that can stay with their families and no longer be contributing to the pet population. The Hart County Humane Society is grateful for the community support which allows us to offer a subsidized spay/neuter program to families who need it. Through this program we hope to end the senseless euthanizing of healthy adoptable animals.There are many strays and unwanted pets in Hart County. We have nowhere to house them. In order to help us please call your city council members and tell them that we are in need of an animal shelter and an animal control person in order to clean up our streets and make Hartwell and Hart County a pleasant place to live.
